Warhammer Club

You may be wondering what Warhammer is. There are three types of Warhammer and they are: Warhammer Fantasy, which is fictional and set in the past, Warhammer 40K, which is also fictional but is set in the future and there is Warhammer: Lord of the Rings, based on the JRR Tolkien trilogy.

What we do is build figures, vehicles, and buildings and we are hoping to make a painting section, where gamers can come and build their models. The figures, which come on sprues, are cut off, cleaned up and stuck together. You then paint them however you wish, so that they look the best.

Following a successful campaign, we have decided to create two club armies, which will constantly fight for supremacy! On one side there will be the organised Imperial Guard, led by three of the older members of the Society and on the other, the barbaric Space Orks. This will be led by one older member supported by all of the younger members, to represent the squabbling nature of the Orks.

The Orks have recently been re-released, so there are new rules and loads of models. We have decided to have two parts to our army: one part comprising of many vehicles, so called ‘ speed freaks’ and the other of a clan of Orks who like to loot and scavenge, and so will be heavily converted.

The Imperial Guard are the defenders of the Imperium, the human empire that rules much of the galaxy. Capable of deploying large amounts of poorly armed troops, supported by near-indestructible heavy armour, the unit we will create will again be heavily converted, to represent the fact that they have been on campaign for many years.
