School charity
City of London School takes charitable giving seriously and every boy is involved in fund-raising activities. The School Charity Appeal is run by a committee of Junior Sixth Form boys. They are given the opportunity to plan and manage a range of events in conjunction with lower school forms. Highlights of the charity year include: the sponsored walk, sponsored swims, cakes sales, fashion shows talent contests and the summer fête. Learning to give generously to the less fortunate is an important aspect of a well-rounded education. City boys put considerable energy and imagination into the School charity appeal. Events throughout the year also serve to unite pupils across the year groups and to enhance the excellent staff pupil relationships enjoyed at CLS.
Each September members of the Charity Committee present four Charities to the school in a series of presentations at assemblies. A ballot follows and the winning charity is adopted for the academic year. Details of this year’s charity and charities supported in recent years are available from the menu on the left hand side.
