Photographic Society
Do you want to learn darkroom Skills and develop your creativity in new and exciting ways?
Come and join the Photographic Society. We meet in studio 2 in the Art Department at 4 pm every Monday with our visiting professional photographer Charlie Dutton.
The Photography Society has a busy schedule beginning in the Autumn term and ending with a popular annual exhibition. Much of the work produced is of an excellent standard. Charlie Dutton, photographer, artist and gallerist runs a series of exciting workshops in our compact and yet functional darkroom! Various black and white techniques are taught from the traditional to more experimental. Charlie also runs digital photography and Photoshop workshops.
Each year we have a small but dedicated group that take the Society forward, this year has been no exception. These young photographers have learnt to look closely at the world around them, noticing the small details of things and transforming them. Their view through the lens registers a critical and creative eye. It has been a pleasure to see the Photography Society go from strength to strength.
