Modern Languages Society

The Modern Languages Society gives boys the opportunity to broaden their interest in modern languages outside the classroom. Run by a committee of Sixth Formers, the society hosts a variety of events targeted either at older pupils or at the Lower School. The society also publicises the MFL literature seminars hosted by MFL teachers throughout the spring, and aims to raise awareness of the linguistic and cultural events taking place around London. Recent MFL society events have included film screenings of foreign language films, ‘Biscuitvision’ – an opportunity for younger pupils to experience the music and the snacks of different European nations, and a presentation on the MFL trips which took place in February. Soft drinks and snacks are provided at all events.
