Who are we?

Holroyd Howe are one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh food services solely to independent schools and colleges, and we are extremely proud to be running the catering services at the City of London School.  We have been providing catering for pupils and staff since September 2007.

The City of London School catering team, headed by Mrs Rebecca Senior- Catering Manager and John Taylor - Head Chef, pride themselves in being able to offer a range of healthy home cooked foods made daily from fresh ingredients on the premises.

Each month we run various promotions and activities which offer both interaction for the pupils, as well as broadening their knowledge or regional cookery and food innovation.

Healthy Eating

Healthy eating is at the heart of our approach and we wholeheartedly encourage the move towards a healthier lifestyle and work hard to establish balanced menus.  Holroyd Howe Independent have implemented their own Fresh Food Policy which is operated very closely to the Government guideline, and sets out our expectations and minimum requirements to meet the daily nutritional needs of the students and staff for whom we cater.  Our ultimate goal is to help your children to enjoy a balanced meal containing good sources of protein and starch, accompanied by lots of vegetables, salads and fruit.

We are committed to producing the highest quality food in a a safe and diligent manner.  we will take all reasonable precautions to avoid risk of contaminating food that may prejudice the health of the children we feed.

To ensure that the risk from these allergens are kept to a minimum, we:

- ensure that suppliers provide specific information about the ingredients of prepared foods and, in particular, the presence of nuts

-ensure that all staff are made aware of the pupils with specific dietary needs and allergies

Payment

We have a cashless system in operation at The City of London School.  Prior to the start of the school term, parents and pupils choose whether they would like to use the catering services at the school.  Payment is made to the school directly by informing the Finance Manager before the start of the school term that they wish for their son to take the school lunch. For the breakfast and tuck shop services pupils pay directly to the catering staff.
