CLS Medics Reunion
Nearly sixty Old Citizens (and a few wives – how about some more next time!) who have trained as doctors and dentists attended a highly successful reunion at School on Wednesday 16th April 2008. The event was organised jointly between the Old Citizens and the Careers Department at CLS.
The event was attended by a very wide age range which was a delight to see and the evening proved to be a very convivial and informal occasion. It was a pleasure to see some of our older consultants (Maurice Gross (1951), Martin Stanton (1950), Chris Lynch (1961), Peter Mace (1970), and also some of the ex biology teachers (Richard Pearce (1959) and Peter King). Also present was Stephen Cotton (ex Chemistry Department) and a considerable number of current science teachers.
The evening provided an opportunity to catch up with old friends and do a bit of networking. We now hope that we might have a meeting like this at least annually and make a data base that can be used by Old Citizens Medics, Dentists and Vets for professional networking and socialising. Anyone interested in helping with such activities is asked to contact Clive Pearce, Head of Careers at CLS (cp@clsb.org.uk) or Daniel Morganstein (d.morganstein@imperial.ac.uk). If there are any medics, dentists or vets out there who were unable to attend this gathering but would like to be put on the contact list for information about future events please email us - we will be pleased to hear from you. (We have already heard from another twenty or so who could not make it this time). Our thanks go to Barry Darling and the Catering staff at CLS for all their efforts in making the event such a success. We do look forward to seeing you at the next event.
