History trips

Beyond the activities laid on by the Historical Society, the department also organises a number of trips, both in the UK and abroad.

At present, as well as numerous visits to London museums and galleries, the department runs three foreign trips to Normandy, the Somme and Berlin.

There is no substitute for seeing history first-hand and we hope the trips help the boys increase their understanding of topics studied in class. We also intend, particularly on the Berlin trip, to open their eyes to the ease and excitement of exploring a foreign city.
