About the Friends of CLS
Who We Are:
All parents of boys currently at the School are automatically Friends of CLS.
What We Do:
- Arrange socials for parents, staff and boys. Please come to them!
- Help at various events run by the School, e.g. the Carol Concert and the Sponsored Walk in the Summer Term
- Co-ordinate the sale of second hand uniform
In a new initiative we are engaging in some cross-fertilisation with the John Carpenter Club (the Old Boys’ Association) and the Friends of City of London Girls School, Please come along to them!
How We Do It:
There is a committee of 18 parent members + 2 members of teaching staff. David Levin, who is the President of the Friends, usually attends meetings and Barry Darling, the Head Porter, is always there to give general advice. We usually meet once a term to organise forthcoming events and mull over past ones. The meetings rarely last more than 90 minutes. They take place at the School at 18:00. Observers are welcome – please feel free to attend and maybe even get co-opted onto the Committee. For more information, email us at friends@clsb.org.uk
