Drama

Drama and Theatre Arts is taught as part of the core curriculum up to and including the Second Form and is offered as an option in the Third Form, as a GCSE subject in the Fourth and Fifth Form and for AS and A2 at Sixth Form level.

Emphasis is placed on the subject as a group or ensemble activity in which all boys are encouraged to participate at their own level, to improve their self-confidence and communication skills.

Pupils acquire a good understanding of the history, nature and function of Theatre and theatrical skills.

Theatre Arts is also available outside the curriculum to all boys, irrespective of age, experience or ability through work in our purpose-built theatre. A broad range of activities is offered, including a wide variety of productions in different styles, offering performing and technical involvement.
