Cricket 

Cricket is the School's major summer field sport. Boys begin training during the Spring Term in the School's impressive indoor cricket nets and then train and compete throughout the Summer Term.

CLS travels to its own outstanding private playing fields at Grove Park in South East London. The school maintains two first class wickets and 6 quality outdoor grass nets.

 

Coaching and matches take place during the School’s games afternoons: First Form on Friday, Second Form on Monday, Third Form on Thursday, Fourth Form on Tuesday and Fifth and Sixth Forms on Wednesday.

CLS also play a number of fixtures on Saturday mornings with all boys arriving back and being released from School by 2pm.

The School teams follow a full programme of competitive inter school fixtures as well as enters its teams into the London Schools Cricket Cup competitions. CLS teams in the last five years have frequented many of the competition final stages. 

School teams are fully supported by a large number of dedicated and committed School staff.  

Cricket continues to be hugely popular at CLS both in team and non team environments.
