Chess Club

Chess Club is a successful and well attended society at CLS. It meets each Tuesday Lunchtime at 1.10pm in room 407, with tutoring after school on Thursdays.  

Competitions take place each term, in addition to the weekly meetings. In the Autumn Term we compete against a number of other leading London schools, including St Pauls, Latymer Upper and the CLSG. Spring Term is the inter-house chess competition, which is always a heated affair. Finally in the Summer Term, the boys are given the chance to compete in The British Land Chess League. It is also an opportunity for the students to mix with the girls' school, as we enter the competition together.
